Meeting around filmed portraits André Ricros
For thirty years, André Ricros has travelled Auvergne to collect, preserve and share the musical heritage held by the elders. His tireless quest took him to the corners farthest away from the uniformity of minds. In a sort of lecture-performance, André Ricros invites us to meet some of these discrete but amazing personalities to share their inner lives, taking with them a great lesson in vitality. The evening will provide raw unedited documents, filmed as they are and each centred on an intimate meeting. The presence of André Ricros allows us to enter this moment of listening and sharing, through his comments and stories that are as much about the art of storyteller as the science of the musicologist.
An eye cast over our own regard, to observe what is happening and who lives behind the appearances. A place of presence where a person expresses themselves and produces the desire to build tomorrow’s time. A time of listening to a speech that could remain inside yet is willing to be offered. Everything here is of importance since details weave the fabric of life. Imperceptibly, meaning is created and each person can project their hopes therein. By changing the way we see, realising that we are surrounded by exceptional people who we don’t yet know and by convincing us that by crossing the street, you can have the most unforgettable and wonderful of journeys.
