L’Ascenseur

A closed space between two floors.
Between two ages and two differences.
A forced meeting
Between a man and a woman
Between two solitudes,
And their burning need to tell each other.
I wrote this meeting
With simple words, everyone’s dark side.
I wrote this meeting
As if when writing freely,
Without knowing where it would take them,
Without knowing where it would take me.
But the pleasure of writing a story,
Of creating two beings who take on a body and life,
In flesh and on stage.
The childish pleasure of writing for fun.
