Talking Quartet Concert
Air and music... These are two entities as inseparable as day and night, the flower and the gun, the actress and the bishop, or the bank and the cheque. It is thus both fair and wise for musicians to pay homage to this fluid that is so essential : air. This tribute takes the form of a "talking concert" where alternating stories written and narrated by Alain Gibert and André Ricros and Auvergne airs mixing voice and bagpipes of the latter to the contemporary sounds of his three accomplices. Humour, mystery and slapstick all add to the words and music, the two big "ingredients" of the ear. The eye can delight in a sound-stage full of old metal tools, that sound as amazing as they do tormented, also participating in this warm and peaceful savagery that makes jazz sound like a nursery rhyme.
